Weeks 8 & 9

For the past 7 days, I have been on antibiotics. 7 days ago, my nurse called and told me that I had a bladder infection when I went in for my appt. I thought that I didn't recognize symptoms of a uti, until a few days after taking antibiotics. I do think that I was having symptoms. For instance, night time was the most uncomfortable for me. I would go to the bathroom 4-5x a night. And before and after going, it felt like everything was so tight and uncomfortable in my bladder. It really made me uncomfortable. It would only bother me right before, and then a couple minutes after using the bathroom. I wrote everything off as just being pregnant. Another thing was that I was way beyond tired. Many times during the day, I would just want to pass out. I noticed all of this after I started taking my antibiotics and first noticed I wasn't having to use the bathroom 4-5x's..more like 2-3x's..and I wasn't uncomfortable. I now have more energy. I still get tired, but it's nothing like it was. I'm not having severe spells of just wanting to sleep.

So knowing all of this now, I'm going to listen to my body a little bit more and try not to assume something is because I'm pregnant. I have now finished my prescribed amount of the antibiotics, and I'm happy about that. The less pills I have to take, the happier I am..lol.

Right now, I'm not showing..so I've been updating 2 weeks at a time. There are times where I feel like I'm showing more, and then others where I'm not. Just got some water retention going on. I have held a pretty steady weight for the past week. Weeks 5-8, I put on about 6 lbs. My boobs have also grown, so I'm blaming them for some of the weight..lol. It's definitely nice to have them so full, I lost my boobs after Hailee..haha. They have been sore, tho. They are just now starting to not be as sore.

Now for some belly pics:

Weeks 6 & 7

Good Morning! Today I am 7 weeks and 2 days. I am anxiously awaiting crossing the 12 week mark. I'm so ready to start feeling like myself again. I get queasy throughout the day, everyday. The symptoms have let up a bit, but not enough..lol. I have staples in my diet, such as gingerbread cookies, gingerale, toast, banana nut muffin, water of course, bananas, applesauce..and I believe that's it. Those are the things that make me feel better. I had chicken soup last week, and it really hit the spot. I love nice and light meals, that aren't heavy on my stomach.

This pregnancy is different so far than when I was pregnant with Hailee. This time around I have to eat to offset the nausea. I don't know if I mentioned this before in my blog, but I'm gonna update. I have gained at least 5 pounds because of it. Everytime my stomach is empty I have to put something in it. If I wait too long, the thought of food just makes me cringe..but once I put something in my mouth and make myself eat it..I feel better. It's crazy. So yeah..I have a huge appetite right now, even tho I feel queasy. I'm grateful that I can keep food down. I still have over 4 weeks left tho, anything can change. The only hope I have is that I never threw up with Hailee. I felt like it, but never did. However, sometimes I just wanna throw up just to feel better. I've gagged many times, and have stood over the toilet feeling like I was going to throw up..but I got nothing.

I had my first prenatal appt last week. Everything went well. I got everything done..pap, urine test, bloodwork, u/s, heard/saw the heart beating, etc. The heart was beating at 120 bpm. I thought it was kinda low, but I was 6 weeks..and apparently when the heart starts beating it starts off slow and gradually gets faster thru pregnancy. We first heard Hailee's heartbeat at 8 weeks, and it was around 145 bpm. I don't remember exactly. So there's a two week difference there of when I heard this little ones heartbeat, and when I heard Hailee's. My next appt is Aug 3rd, and I meet with an actual dr. The first appt I just met with the nurse practitioner. They were really nice and helpful at this place I went to. They watched Hailee for me while I got my bloodwork done. And they just seemed very genuine and caring. They knew I had a miscarriage for my last pregnancy, and they also knew my history and concerns of having twins...so I was able to get an u/s..and I didn't even request it. They offered it.

Hailee was so cute, tho. The day before the appt and the day of, she kept telling me we were going to get the baby out today! haha. Of course I told her not today, the baby has to get bigger. She is already eagerly awaiting the arrival of her little bro or sis. I wonder if that'll change once the baby gets here and starts crying and taking some of mommies attention. I think she'll do great tho. She has always seemed like a 'little momma' to me. She is going to help me pick stuff out for the baby, and I plan on making her feel as involved as possibly.

SO there's a little update on what's been going on. Below is the comparison pictures of week 6 and 7, of this pregnancy and Hailee's pregnancy.
